Terms & Conditions

By entering any competition hosted by DINU on its official social media platforms, participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is DINU / Universal Paper & Plastics PTY LTD (Reg. No. 1988/070494/07)

2. Eligibility
• The competition is open to residents of South Africa aged 18 years or older.
• Employees of DINU, its affiliates, agencies, and their immediate family members may not enter unless otherwise stated.
• Participants must have a valid South African ID or passport (where applicable) to claim a prize.
• Entry into the competition is free. No purchase is necessary unless expressly stated in the competition post. Standard internet or mobile data charges incurred when accessing social media platforms remain the responsibility of the participant.
• Previous winners of any DINU social media competition will not be eligible to enter or win another DINU social media competition for a period of six (6) months from the date on which they were announced as a winner. Any entries submitted during this six-month period may be disqualified and will not be considered for prize selection.

3. Competition Period
• The opening and closing dates of each competition will be stated in the competition post.
• Entries received after the published closing date and time will not be considered. DINU reserves the right to extend, shorten, suspend, amend, or cancel the competition at any time should circumstances require. Any changes to the competition may, at DINU’s sole discretion, be communicated on the official DINU social media pages.

4. How to Enter
To enter, participants must follow the instructions outlined in the competition post. This may include, but is not limited to:
• Following the official DINU social media page.
• Liking the competition post.
• Commenting on the post.
• Tagging friends.
• Sharing the post (where applicable).
• Only entries that meet all the stated requirements will be eligible.
• Unless otherwise stated in the competition post, participants may enter multiple times, provided each entry complies with the competition mechanics and is unique. Automated, bulk, or duplicate entries intended to manipulate the competition may be disqualified.

5. Winner Selection
• Winners will be selected randomly from all valid and eligible entries unless otherwise specified in the competition post.
• Only entries that fully comply with the competition requirements will be eligible.
• DINU’s decision regarding the selection of winners is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. Winner Notification
• Winners will be selected in accordance with the competition mechanics as outlined in the competition post.
• DINU reserves the right to contact winners using our Universal Paper & Plastics/Dinu page or account, via direct private message (DM), email, telephone, or any other reasonable means of communication using the contact details associated with the winning entry.
• Winners will be required to provide any information reasonably requested by DINU to verify their identity and facilitate prize fulfilment.
• Winners must respond within the timeframe communicated in the winner notification (or, if no timeframe is specified, within 24 hours of the notification being sent).
• If a winner fails to respond within the allocated timeframe, cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, refuses the prize, provides incorrect or incomplete information, or is found to be ineligible, DINU reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify that winner and select an alternate winner without further notice.
• DINU’s decision regarding the selection of replacement winners shall be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• Winners may be required to provide proof of identity before receiving a prize.
• If the details supplied by the selected winner do not match the entrant’s identity, DINU reserves the right to withhold the prize and select an alternate winner.
• DINU reserves the right to make multiple reasonable attempts to contact a winner. If no response is received within the specified timeframe, an alternate winner may be selected.

7. Prize
• Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash unless otherwise stated.
• DINU reserves the right to substitute a prize with another of equal value should circumstances require.
• Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be sold, transferred, exchanged, or substituted except at DINU’s discretion.
• Where vouchers are awarded, winners are responsible for redeeming them before their expiry date. DINU accepts no responsibility for expired vouchers once they have been issued to the winner.
• DINU is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by winners when accepting or using a prize, including but not limited to travel, transport, accommodation, internet costs, or other related expenses.

8. Fraudulent Entries
DINU reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of:
• Using fake or duplicate accounts.
• Manipulating the competition in any way.
• Providing false information.
• Breaching these Terms & Conditions.
• Using bots, automated software, vote manipulation, fake profiles, or any other unfair means to gain an advantage.

9. Publicity
By replying with the information required to claim a prize, winners grant DINU permission to announce them as winners of the competition using their name and/or social media profile associated with the winning entry.

10. Privacy
Any personal information collected for the purpose of administering the competition will only be used to verify eligibility, contact winners, and facilitate prize delivery. Personal information will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to fulfil the prize. Personal information will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the competition and comply with applicable South African laws.

11. General
• DINU reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition at any time should circumstances beyond its reasonable control arise.
• DINU will not be responsible for entries not received due to technical issues, network failures, or platform outages.
• By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

12. Social Media Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), or any other social media platform on which the competition is promoted. Participants release these platforms from any responsibility related to the competition.

13. Competition Integrity
DINU reserves the right to remove, reject, or disqualify any entry that contains offensive language, unlawful content, hate speech, spam, or content deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with the values of the DINU brand.

Your access to and use of this website (“the Website”) is subject exclusively to these Terms and Conditions. You will not use the Website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. By using the Website you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website.

The contents of the Website do not constitute advice and should not be relied upon in making or refraining from making any decision.

Universal Paper & Plastics reserves the right to:

  • Change or remove (temporarily or permanently) the Website or any part of it without notice and you confirm that Universal Paper & Plastics shall not be liable to you for any such change or removal.
  • Change, remove, or discontinue any software, service, or promotion (including but not limited to any previsions, parts thereof, licensing, pricing) as advertised on this website at any time without notice and you confirm that Universal Paper & Plastics shall not be liable for any such change or removal.
  • Change or discontinue any promotional discount vouchers or coupon codes at any time with notice and you confirm that Universal Paper & Plastics shall not be liable for any such change or removal.
  • Change this Agreement at any time, and your continued use of the Website following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change.

In the event that any provision of this Agreement is declared by any judicial or other competent authority to be void, voidable, illegal or otherwise unenforceable or indications of the same are received by either you or us from any relevant competent authority, we shall amend that provision in such reasonable manner as achieves the intention of the parties without illegality or, at our discretion, such provision may be severed from this Agreement and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

This Agreement and all matters arising from it are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising in connection with this Agreement and the place of performance of this Agreement is agreed by you to be South Africa.

Headings are included in this Agreement for convenience only and shall not affect the construction or interpretation of this Agreement.

These terms and conditions together with any documents expressly referred to in them, contain the entire Agreement between us relating to the subject matter covered and supersede any previous Agreements, arrangements, undertakings or proposals, written or oral: between us in relation to such matters. No oral explanation or oral information given by any party shall alter the interpretation of these terms and conditions. In agreeing to these terms and conditions, you have not relied on any representation other than those expressly stated in these terms and conditions and you agree that you shall have no remedy in respect of any misrepresentation which has not been made expressly in this Agreement.

Universal Paper & Plastics reserves the right to add, delete, or modify any provision this Agreement at any time without notice.
